Mission Statement
With 4,219 students, Gannon University is a private, co-educational Catholic, comprehensive university offering associate's, bachelor's, and master's degrees, certificates and doctoral degrees in Erie, Pennsylvania.
Our academic programs are appropriately accredited, and Gannon has been consistently ranked among the top 50 colleges and universities in the northern section of the United States in U.S. News & World Report's "America's Best Colleges."Gannon has also been recognized as a Top Up-and-Coming School and repeatedly ranked as a Best Value.
Gannon's signature programs, Core of Discovery and Lifecore provide students with the foundation for experiencing both the academic and co-curricular experiences of a solid college education. The Core of Discovery is our liberal arts core curriculum that helps students understand humanity, social concepts and structures, their own ethics and values. Lifecore challenges a student's growth and development through participation of events and activities that encompass nine lifestyle dimensions.
A range of campus organizations and activities encourages academic interests, community service, and moral and spiritual growth. Gannon also provides students with a broad program in intramural and intercollegiate athletics, including 18 athletic programs for men and women at the NCAA Division II level.

Gannon is located on the bayfront in Erie, Pennsylvania's fourth largest city and one of the busiest ports on the Great Lakes. Gannon’s urban campus, in the middle of downtown Erie, is within a two hour drive of Cleveland, Buffalo, and Pittsburgh.
Students have abundant opportunities for internships and co-op jobs with government agencies, local businesses and hospitals.
Nearby, Presque Isle State Park includes seven miles of beaches, lagoons, hiking trails and biking paths. Presque Isle Bay is located six blocks from campus.
