Full Sail University was established in 1979 . More than 30 years ago, Full Sail began as a dream to create a place where people could learn how to take their passion for entertainment and turn it into a career they loved. The mission of the university is to provide students with an innovative style of education – delivered by a staff of dedicated individuals – that addresses the career opportunities available in the ever growing fields of entertainment media. It is a private institution.

A 2.2 acre facility that includes a large scale live performance venue , a game production studio , and a professional recording studio.
