Embry-Riddle
Aeronautical University is the world's
oldest, largest, and most prestigious
university specializing in aviation
and aerospace. It is the only accredited,
aviation-oriented university in the
world.
- Embry-Riddle was
founded in Cincinnati, Ohio, on December
17, 1925, by barnstormer John Paul
Riddle and entrepreneur T. Higbee
Embry, as the Embry-Riddle Company.
The company opened the Embry-Riddle
School of Aviation the following spring.

Embry-Riddle
Aeronautical University is an independent,

just 22 years after the Wright brothers'
first flight, the University and its

Embry-Riddle
Aeronautical University, composed of
the Daytona Beach Campus, the Prescott
Campus, and the Worldwide Campus, is
accredited by the Commission on Colleges

Embry-Riddle has
traditional, residential campuses in
Daytona Beach, Florida, and Prescott,
Arizona. Embry-Riddle's Worldwide Campus
provides educational opportunities to
working adults at more than 170 locations
in the United States, Canada, Europe,
and the Middle East. In addition, degree
programs can be pursued via the Internet
through Worldwide Online.

Residential campuses in Prescott, Arizona,
and Daytona Beach, Florida, provide
education in a traditional college campus
setting.
Prescott, Arizona,
Campus
The University's
western campus in Prescott, Arizona,
is 100 miles north of Phoenix. The mile-high
campus has an enrollment of about 1,700
students and covers 539 acres of high-altitude
western terrain, with campus life centered
in a one-mile area. The flight training
center is at nearby Prescott Love Field
Municipal Airport. You can choose from
12 bachelor degrees and one master degree
at the Prescott Campus.
On the Prescott Campus there are more
than 75 clubs and organizations, Army
and Air Force ROTC, four intercollegiate
athletic teams and numerous intramural
teams and club sports.

Two hours from Phoenix and the Grand

ROTC: Programs
include Army and the award-winning Air
Force Detachment 028, consistently named
"Best in the West." In 2004,
Det. 028 was the third-largest detachment
in the nation. The Cadet Wing is home
to the ROTC programs on campus, which
offer attractive scholarships to qualified
students.
ATHLETICS:
Independent member of NAIA Region II,
fielding four intercollegiate teams:
men's and women's soccer, women's volleyball,
and men's wrestling. Numerous intramural
teams and club sports are also available.
CAMPUS: 539
acres, including academic, residential,
and recreational resources.
FACILITIES:
New Academic Complex, home to an advanced
weather center and meteorology suite,
computer design lab, and classrooms;
Aerospace Experimental and Fabrication
Building; state-of-the-art engineering
and wind tunnel labs; aviation safety
center with crash lab, advanced flight
simulators; flight line with an extensive
fleet of training aircraft a short distance
from campus. A new Dining Hall opened
in early 2008, and the new Haas Interfaith
Chapel opened in Fall 2008. Another
recent addition to campus is the Christine
and Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Library and
Learning Center.

Daytona
Beach, Florida Campus
Our eastern campus in Daytona Beach,
Florida, is located adjacent to Daytona
Beach International Airport and is less
than 15 minutes from miles of Atlantic
Ocean beaches. The 185-acre campus serves
more than 4,700 students and offers
23 undergraduate degrees, eight graduate
degrees, and three programs that combine
bachelor's and master's degrees in a
five-year accelerated process.
The Daytona Beach campus supports 150
student organizations and clubs; Army,
Air Force, and Navy ROTC; 13 intercollegiate
athletic teams including men's basketball
and women's volleyball; and many intramural
team and club sports.

Daytona Beach, Florida, a small coastal
city on the Atlantic Ocean, home of
NASCAR's Daytona 500 auto race. Campus
is 1 hour from Orlando, Cape Canaveral,
and the historic city of St. Augustine.

Air Force ROTC Detachment 157. Based
in the modern, two-story ROTC Center
on campus, cadets in all corps study
in state-of-the-art classrooms. A 24-hour
computer lab is reserved exclusively
for cadet use. ROTC offers attractive
scholarships to qualified students.
ATHLETICS:
NAIA, Florida Sun Conference. Sixteen
intercollegiate men and women's teams,
including nationally ranked men's baseball.
For participation by women in 2003-04,
Embry-Riddle ranked among the top five
NAIA schools. Men's teams: Baseball,
basketball, cross-country, golf, soccer,
tennis, and track. Women's teams: Cross-country,
golf, soccer, tennis, track, and volleyball.

Continuing students
can apply for Institutional scholarships
during January and February through
ERNIE. Sign into ERNIE and select the
"Student Services" link. The
scholarship link will be available from
January 15th to February 15th .
Embry-Riddle endowed and term scholarships
are funds that are generously donated
to help students pay for their education.
If you are selected for a scholarship
it will be paid in the Fall and Spring
semesters of the following academic
year.
Completing the application does not
guarantee that you will receive a scholarship.

The scholarship award amounts vary.
They may be anywhere from $500 to $5,000.
Scholarship criteria also vary. Some
scholarships are very specific and others
are very general. Only fields marked
with an asterisk on the application
are required, but please fill out as
much information as you can in order
to increase your eligibility for one
or more of the scholarships.
Don't have leadership, honors or community
