The St. Paul south campus, situated west of Cretin Avenue and south of Summit Avenue, is the site of the new Frey Science and Engineering Center, the largest construction project in St. Thomas history. The two-building, 210,000-square-foot, $37 million center opened in fall 1997 and serves as a gateway to the south campus. The western edge of the south campus borders the Mississippi Gorge Regional Park.
2.Minneapolis Campus : St. Thomas began offering classes in 1987 at a remodeled department store in downtown Minneapolis. In fall 1992, the university opened a permanent, $25 million, 150,000-square-foot campus at 1000 LaSalle Ave. The building, named Terrence Murphy Hall in May 2000, is headquarters to the Opus College of Business. Today, St. Thomas has become one of the top colleges in MinneapolisThe University of St. Thomas School of Law began operations in Terrence Murphy Hall in fall 2001; in then moved to the School of Law building located on the block south of Terrence Murphy Hall in 2003.
Gainey Conference Center: Built in 1981, the Gainey Conference Center is a full-service conference and retreat facility located on 180 acres (~728,000 m²) in Owatonna, Minnesota, just one hour south of the Twin Cities.
