Overview
Mission of the institute St. Mary's University, as a Catholic Marianist University, fosters the formation of people in faith and educates leaders for the common good through community, integrated liberal arts and professional education, and academic excellence.

Accreditation
- The Bill Greehey School of Business is accredited by AACSB International, [Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business]. Founded in 1923.
- St. Mary’s the only Catholic university in Texas to achieve this status.
- Electrical and industrial engineering programs in the School of Science, Engineering and Technology are recognized through accreditation by ABET [Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology].
- St. Mary’s University is a member of NCAA Division II and the Heartland Conference
Location &
Facilities
St. Mary's University is located on the northwest side of beautiful San Antonio, Texas.
Located in the Woodlawn Lake neighborhood, the University is just down the street from the lake and close to many local businesses and restaurants. Students can enjoy the temperate weather during the school year, with the coolest average temperature in the 50s in January.
Texas largest state in the coterminous United States. It is located in the S Central part of the country and is bounded by Oklahoma, across the Red R. except in the Texas panhandle (N); Arkansas (NE); Louisiana, across the Sabine R. (E); the Gulf of Mexico (SE); Mexico, across the Rio Grande R. (SW); and New Mexico (W).

Scholarships
UG Requirements to Maintain Scholarship
To have our status in the GSP renewed each semester, we must:
- Remain in good standing with St. Mary's University
- Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of at least 3.0
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards of conduct
- Maintain declared business or pre-business major status
- Enrollment in a minimum of 12 credit hours each fall and spring semester
- Earn a minimum of 75 points each semester through completion of required and elective GSP activities and event
PG requirements for scholarship consideration include the following:
- Undergraduate degree in business from an accredited institution with an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Previously satisfied all prerequisite knowledge requirements if the undergraduate degree was not in business.
- A minimum GMAT score of 525, minimum GRE score of 1120 or minimum LSAT score of 152 (JD/MBA students only)
- Recommendation from employer or business school dean
- Resume of experience
- An approved application for regular admission as a part-time M.B.A. student
- For international students, a minimum TOEFL score of 67 (Internet) [87 including speaking], 230 (computer) or 570 (paper). A minimum score of 6.5 on the IELTS English-language-proficiency test (Academic or General) also will be accepted. IELTS is jointly owned by the British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia and the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations.
- Students approved for a scholarship must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 (with no grade less than B) to maintain their scholarship and must provide 10 to 12 hours weekly as a research assistant during the term of their scholarship
