Overview
The campus is a warm, friendly student village, located within a beautiful parkland campus and landscaped gardens, two miles from hectic entertainment and shopping complexes in Chelmsford and within easy striking distance of the heart of London. Writtle offers the benefits of both rural and urban lifestyles which means our students find it easy to adjust and quickly make Writtle their second home.
Location & Facilities
Writtle is one of the most attractive villages in Essex. Set around a quiet village green, there are specialist shops, traditional pubs and period houses which all contribute to its picturesque image.
The ancient county of Essex is a place of towns and villages, seaside resorts, sailing centres, river walks and commercial ports. The landscape has provided the inspiration for many famous artists, including the celebrated painters John Constable, Thomas Gainsborough and Francis Bacon. Rural Essex is a place of quiet country lanes, historic castles, period houses and ancient woodlands.
