Located on the banks of the Mersey in North West England, Liverpool is a vibrant European city that, true to its maritime history, remains a crossroads of the world. The city if Liverpool is 179.49 Miles from London city. It takes 2.5 hours by train to Liverpool and 4 to 5 hours by road.
The University's main campus is located five minutes' walk from Liverpool's city centre and is next to the cathedral. Occupying 100 acres, it contains 192 non-residential buildings that house 69 lecture theatres, 114 teaching areas and state-of-the-art research facilities.
Two main libraries are open 24 hours a day during the week and there are excellent amenities, including the popular Guild of Students, shops, sports centre, cafes and a gallery.
51 residential buildings, on or near the campus, provide 3,385 rooms for students, on a catered or self-catering basis. This means we can guarantee accommodation for most first-year students.
The centrepiece of our campus remains the University's original red brick building, the Victoria Building. Built around 1880, it has recently been lovingly restored as a gallery and museum.
Recently we have invested £3.5m to modernise the campus with new landscaping, paving, lighting and street furniture. A "green" heating system, costing £20m, will soon be operational.
