Overview
The University of Lincoln is an English university in Lincolnshire founded in 1992, whose origins can be traced back to the Hull School of Art founded in 1861. The main campus is primarily based in Brayford Pool area, in the city of Lincoln but has campuses in Riseholme, Holbeach and Hull.
The University has an international reputation for academic excellence and research. The university is a public university and has around 1,107 staffs and 16,705 students. The University Alliance ACU, East midland universities associations, LiSN and Yorkshire universities are all our affiliations. According to the university, more than 50 different nationalities are represented among the student population on the Brayford Pool campus.
All the programmes offer students up to date and business relevant teaching and learning ensuring best opportunities for future career. Many of the programmes are rooted in industry and all courses have excellent links with major global employers who often contribute to the curriculum. In the latest National Student Survey (NSS) and the Times Higher Education’s annual Student Experience Survey, Lincoln students rated courses and facilities at the University as among the best in the UK. The University of Lincoln offers a number of scholarships to provide international students with financial assistance.
Location & Facilities
Lincoln is a great, safe and student-centred city. The winning combination of a vibrant city centre and its historic quarter, both with a broad range of cultural activities and venues make Lincoln a fantastic environment in which to live and study.London King’s Cross station is less than two hours away by train.
The main campus is the Brayford campus, apart from which there are there are smaller campuses:like Cathedral Quarter, Holbeach, Riseholme Park, Hull.
Students can choose from a fantastic range of accommodation in Lincoln. Most accommodation is situated around the attractive waterside of the Brayford Pool Marina. There are also options in town and in the Cathedral Quarter. Because the main University campus is in the city centre, all accommodation whether on campus or off campus, is within short walking distance.
