Royal Agricultural College

Overview

The Royal Agricultural College is the oldest agricultural college in the English speaking world and has been at the forefront of agricultural education since 1845.  Our historic campus in the Cotswold countryside provides a stimulating and unique learning environment. 


We offer courses at foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate levels to over 1,000 students from over 40 different countries.  Subjects include business and management, agriculture, food supply, agribusiness, equine, international rural development, wine business management, property and rural land management. 


The career-focused courses are designed and updated to meet the changing needs of the employment market and combine academic excellence with practical application.  Courses are managed and taught by experienced staff and specialist consultants, all of whom are leaders within their fields.

Location and Facilities

The College is in a great location.  When you fancy venturing off campus you can explore not only the beautiful Cotswolds, but also the many nearby towns and cities and, of course, London is just 90-minutes away by direct train.
Cirencester is often called the capital of the Cotswolds. It's a busy town with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. Cirencester has high street shops as well as plenty of smaller boutiques

Scholarships

RAC Outstanding Achievers
These scholarships are awarded to students who can demonstrate achievements in one or more of the following:

  • Attainment of academic excellence.
  • Contribution to extra-curricular activities.
  • Overcoming of hardship (handicap or deprivation).
  • Leadership, motivation, determination to succeed.

Scholarship applications for 2010 have now closed. If you would like to apply for a scholarship next year then you can do so in spring 2011. 


Applications should be sent to the College by 31st July, together with supporting evidence. Please download and ask your referee to complete the Scholarship Reference Form


RAC Sports scholarships

These scholarships are awarded to students with outstanding ability in a particular sport to assist their development, and to raise the profile of the College through their Sporting endeavours.


Bursaries
 Variable fee bursaries are non re-payable and could be worth up to £2,155 per year. Please note, these are available for undergraduates only
The amounts stated below relate to the academic year 2010-2011 and could change for subsequent years.
