Overview
Oxford & Cherwell Valley College is a multi-campus college in Oxfordshire, England. It was created in 2003 as "Oxford & Cherwell College" - a result of the merger between Oxford College of Further Education, North Oxfordshire College in Banbury and Rycotewood College in Thame. Rycotewood was relocated to Oxford in 2004[1] and the college changed to its current name in 2005 due to the new opening of a new campus in Bicester.

There is a wide and varied selection of opportunities on offer at the College including;,Over 125 full time courses,Over 1000 part time vocational programmes ,Higher Education courses in Art, Design & Furniture and other vocational areas ,A range of stimulating Community Education courses and Summer Schools ,A wide range of Access courses ,Courses tailored to meet the needs of business clients ,curses for students from overseas
Location & Facilities
OCVC has 3 campuses namely Blackbird Leys Campus , Banbury Campus & Bicester Campus For courses running at the Oxford Campus and Blackbird Leys Campus, the College operates a regular coach service between the two campuses throughout the day. The Blackbird Leys Campus is also easily accessible by bus from the city centre.
The Oxford Campus is 10 minutes walk from the main rail and coach stations in Oxford. Central London is easily reached in 60 minutes by rail and 90 minutes by coach. There is also a regular daily fast coach service to the London airports of Heathrow and Gatwick.
Our campuses offer industry-standard facilities that will help you to enjoy your learning experience and get the most out of your course. If you choose a skills-based course such as in construction, motor vehicle, hair and beauty, or catering, you will gain practical skills in a college-based workshop, salon or restaurant that is identical to those in the world of work. The college has an Accommodation Adviser who can arrange for students to stay with host families. The college has families in Oxford, Banbury and Bicester. All of the families have been visited by the Accommodation Adviser and students can choose whether to have half board breakfast and dinner provided or whether to cook their own food.

Scholarships
The Residential Bursary is a government fund to assist students with accommodation costs where they have to live away from home in order to study a particular course,If you find it difficult to meet course costs (books, equipment, visits, childcare etc.), you may be able to apply for help from the Discretionary Fund. To be eligible, you or your family need to be in receipt of an income-based benefit (e.g. income support) or have a household income between £15,800 and £20,000 per year.,Adult Learner Grant ALG is for students who are over 19 and have a single income of less than £19,513. If you have a partner, your joint income must be less than £30,810 in the previous tax year.
You must be studying a first full level 2 or 3 qualification for a minimum of 12 hours a week. You cannot apply if you are in receipt of any out of work benefits.,Educational Maintenance Allowance If you are aged between 16-18 on the 31 August 2010 and your household income is less than £30,810 in the previous tax year, you may be able to claim for EMA.
