Overview

Established in April 1990, Temasek Polytechnic (TP) is a significant contributor to the field of para-professional education in Singapore. Situated in the east of the island, the campus sits on a 30-hectare plot of land fronting the scenic Bedok Reservoir.Their students undergo a learning system that is holistic, equipping them with life skills and relevant knowledge that can keep them in good stead as they join the workforce. Since 1997, TP has been a champion of the Problem-based Learning approach which promotes independent study, self-reflection and creative thinking - qualities that will give graduates a distinct advantage over others in an ever-changing economic landscape.

Mission:
The mission of temasek polytechnic is to prepare school-leavers and working adults for a future of dynamic change, with relevant knowledge, life-long skills, character, and a thirst for continuous improvement.Life as a TP student is as exciting and enriching as the student wants it to be, whether they are interested in academic excellence, developing their sports or leadership potential or perfecting their cultural pursuits. There is a myriad of opportunities to hone and showcase their talents and interests.

Global experiences also await their students as they work to provide more opportunities for them to go abroad for internships, community service and study trips.

The TP Library provides a wide range of information resources, services and ultra-modern facilities to support the teaching, learning and research needs of the TP community. Within the eleven storey building.an extensive collection of books, journals and multimedia and audio-visual resources.

a Lifestyle floor comprising newspapers, selected magazines, books on self-help, sports, health and nutrition, humour as well as fiction, cable TV for sport and world news, and sound domes for easy music listening.

10 food outlets on campus, comprising seven food courts (one fully air-conditioned), two cafés and one restaurant, serve our students and staff.
