Ngee Ann Polytechnic is a Public Polytechnic in Singapore offering Diplomas.It became the first polytechnic in 1999 to offer a Diploma in Early Childhood Education.

Location & Facilities

Ngee Ann Polytechnic is spread over 35.4 hectares of suburban land at the fringe of the upmarket Bukit Timah residential district. \The campus is in reach by taking the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) train to Clementi or Dover MRT stations and then using connecting bus services (52, 61, 74, 75, 151, 154, 184) to arrive at the Polytechnic. Ngee Ann also provides free shuttle bus services every morning from Clementi, Hougang, Woodlands and Tampines interchanges during term time.

The Teaching Hub is part of the 'green lung' of the campus, creating a conducive studying environment on campus. Students can choose to relax by the eco-pond to watch the fishes as well as the sunset.

Ngee Ann Polytechnic promotes a healthy and active lifestyle. Polytechnic offers staff and students an array of sporting amenities - including an Olympic-sized swimming pool, training pool, gymnasiums, tennis courts, badminton courts, squash courts, and complete stadium facilities. A football field and the NP Adventure Park can also be found at its staff quarters on Kismis Avenue.

The Consumer Co-operative Society Limited (NP Co-op) manages a wide range of outlets on campus, offering everything from selling computer accessories selling tit-bits.

Scholarships

International students, including permanent residents, who are admitted into Ngee Ann Polytechnic, may apply for the Tuition Grant (TG) that is offered by the Singapore Ministry of Education.

Those who are awarded and accept the TG will pay the subsidised fees for their course. Such students will be required to execute the TG Deed with the Government of Singapore, in the presence of two sureties. The sureties act as guarantors and can be of any nationality, above 21 years old and are not declared bankrupt. Students will have to work in Singapore for three years upon the completion of studies. They are advised to find their own employment. International students who are not awarded the TG will have to pay full fees.
