Overview
AUT University invites students from all over the world to spend a semester or a year in our Study Abroad programme, earning credits towards their home degree, while gaining a true international experience.Students may choose to take four papers (courses) or two papers and a fully supervised internship paper, which gives them experience in the New Zealand workplace.
As a Study Abroad student you will receive a warm, distinctly New Zealand welcome onto our campus. You will be supported in adapting to life and study in a new environment, and there will be ample opportunities for you to make new friends, to learn about our unique culture and to discover the superb natural scenery New Zealand is famous for.
We’re New Zealand’s newest university but our history in industry-relevant education is over 110 years old. We perform our teaching, research and other duties as defined under the Education Act (1989).
Established as a university
In 2000, the governor general, by order in council, established the Auckland University of Technology as 1 of the universities in New Zealand. AUT is the youngest of the 8 New Zealand universities and the only 1 tPublic institution by legislation
AUT and the other 7 New Zealand universities are public institutions.

New Zealand's International Aid and Development Agency Scholarships
The purpose of NZAID's scholarships schemes is to enhance the skills, training and knowledge of selected individuals and thereby build capacity to contribute to the sustainable development of key areas in their home country.

New Zealand International Doctoral Research Scholarships
Funded by the New Zealand Government and administered by Education New Zealand, the New Zealand International Doctoral Research Scholarships offer a significant educational opportunity. The scholarships provide financial support for students from designated countries undertaking doctoral degrees by research in New Zealand universities. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit. Applications close on 15th July each year.
