The Lismore campus is the largest and central campus of the University. It occupies 60 Ha in the North Coast area. The campus is 3 km from Lismore City's. The Lismore campus houses most of the University’s academic and research units and most essential student facilities and services are available on this campus.

The University offers scholarships to international students on a competitive basis for postgraduate research awards. Students from all countries may be eligible for Southern Cross University Postgraduate Research Scholarships (SCUPRS). These are only available for postgraduate research studies and to students of the highest academic calibre.
The Australian Government provides financial assistance to international students from selected countries through a range of scholarship programs. The scholarships are for both undergraduate and postgraduate study and cover tuition fees and a living allowance for students.
