Overview

Carrick started as a private institution in 1987 to provide personalised education to people from all walks of life and from all corners of the globe.Throughout our 21 year history we have grown and diversified to offer a broad range of courses and services to cater to students changing career goals.

 

Carrick’s courses range from English language, vocational and higher education courses.arrick has recently opened in Adelaide and Brisbane and now has campuses across four states including, Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia and Queensland. You now have more choice as to where you want to study from the café culture of Melbourne, the sun and surf of Adelaide and Sydney or the tropical climate of Brisbane. All of our campuses are in the heart of the city so you can explore these wonderful cities while you study.

    Location & Facilities

    Adelaide Campus

    Renowned as Australia's food and wine capital and for its flourishing arts scene, Adelaide is a choice destination to escape the hustle and bustle of big-city living whilst still enjoying all the benefits of a metropolitan environment.


    This coastal city offers the best of both worlds: a sophisticated urban landscape set against an inviting backdrop of lush parklands. Adelaide boasts classical and modern architecture, spacious boulevards and is located a stone's throw away from sandy white beaches and from some of South Australia's award-winning wine regions.


    Never a dull moment, this city also plays host to some of Australia's celebrated contemporary arts and cultural festivals. Amongst them are international music festivals; Tasting Australia, Tour Down Under Bike Race, a biennial food and wine festival; and the Adelaide Christmas Pageant, the world's largest Christmas parade.
    If you are looking for a conducive study, work, and/or travel destination, Adelaide's perfectly manicured city centre and sprawling natural landscape is the place to be.

    Brisbane Campus

     
    Brisbane, the centre of Australia's fastest growing state is also the country's third largest city. Built on the banks of the Brisbane River, the city provides the ideal cosmopolitan experience: fast- growing with an active outdoorsy lifestyle. Young and vibrant, Brisbane has much to offer with its diverse natural surroundings, modern infrastructure, and cultural and sporting events throughout the year.

     

    Brisbane is home to some of Queensland's highly regarded tourist attractions such as Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, Story Bridge, Portside Wharf, Brisbane Botanic Gardens, and Brisbane Forest Park. Day tours to Brisbane's outskirts and beyond is also a must for all visitors to experience all that Queensland has to offer with its famed Australia Zoo, theme parks, beaches, and whale-watching expeditions.

     

    Yes, there is much to do in Brisbane and with its subtropical weather, natural flora and fauna, and emphasis on the work balance lifestyle, Brisbane is definitely a popular holiday and study destination for international and local dwellers alike.

    Melbourne Campus

    Officially voted "The World's Most Livable City", Melbourne is a dynamic and colourful metropolis. Melbourne's artistic and cultural elements extend from world-class operas, theatre productions and concerts to music and film festivals, international exhibitions and boutique galleries. Melbourne's renowned dining scene is as distinctive as the city itself, reflecting its multicultural diversity.


    There is a wide range of cuisines and endless flavours offered at pubs and bistros, local cafes and fine dining venues scatted throughout inner city surrounds. Those who prefer home style cooking can venture to the many local produce markets like the Queen Victoria Market for the freshest of ingredients Melbourne has to offer.


    As Australia's sporting capital Melbourne hosts events such at the Australian Tennis Open, the Australian Football League (AFL) Grand Final, major international cricket matches, the Spring Racing Carnival and Australian Formula One Grand Prix.

    Sydney Campus

    A vibrant and unforgettable city, Sydney's unique character stems from its people and its spectacular setting on Sydney Harbour. Sydney's artistic and cultural elements extends from world-class operas, theatre productions and concerts to music and film festivals, international exhibitions and boutique galleries.


    This cosmopolitan city is renowned for its iconic beaches, World Heritage areas and lush hinterland while the state of New South Wales features rugged mountains and acclaimed wine regions that are easily accessible by road or public transport.

Jobs are plentiful, education is world class and you will not be strapped for choice when it comes to dining and nightlife with the Kings Cross and Bondi districts offering food and entertainment 24 hours a day!

    Carrick Sydney campuses are in the heart of the city and easily accessible by public transport.


    Students relocating to Australia should keep in mind the relevant costs when they undertake studies. When calculating the cost of living in Australia, students must also budget for food, health care, transport, books, clothing and entertainment.

    Students are recommended to allow a minimum of A$15,000 per year to cover their cost of living. It is highly recommended that students arrive with an additional A$2,000 to cover settling in costs such as rental bond and to purchase basic furniture items, if this is not already prepaid during enrolment.

     

    Homestay Accommodation

    Homestay in Australia is a great way of introducing international students to the Australian way of life by providing a safe and enjoyable family environment. Homestay is living with a family, couple or single person/s (called a host) living with a homestay host can be a valuable part of an international student’s learning experience in Australia. Students who stay in homestay usually benefit in improving their English because they will be living with English speakers.

    Carrick uses a national homestay network called the Australian Homestay Network known as AHN. AHN also arrange airport pick up which is to be paid in advance.

    The Australian Homestay Network has introduced new standards in the provision of homestay services to International Students.

    Studio Apartments

    Students can arrange accommodation in studio apartments, which are clean, safe, secure and provide independent living with on-site management staff. Studio apartments have a shower and toilet, are fully furnished and air-conditioned, and have a DVD, TV, fridge, microwave oven and telephone. Recreational facilities available at some student studio apartment complexes include a gym, swimming pool and sauna, in-house restaurant, business centre and recreational room with TV and pool table.

     

    Campus Accommodation Boards

    Students are able to view accommodation boards at their campus on the locations below. Accommodation boards will have shared accommodation listings from either current and noncurrent students or the general public. Carrick takes no responsibility for the content on the accommodation board please ensure that you understand and check accommodation before entering into a contract with landlord.
